Bolt Funds
Like sport climbing, the majority of dry-tooling routes are equipped with bolts for protection. Many of these are aging and in poor condition, so you should always take great care before entrusting your safety to them.
Much of the work of replacing and requipping fixed gear is done by dedicated individuals. Bolts are expensive, so all donations of cash/gear are gratefully received. The main bolt funds for dry-tooling crags are below. We are currently in the process of a major overhaul of the gear at The Works to ensure that the routes are safe to climb.
